Designed for gaming and HD media playback, this version of the Sapphire Radeon R7 240 graphics card features 2GB of DDR3 vRAM coupled with 384 stream processors clocked at 730 MHz. With enough temperature overhead, the GPU clock can be boosted up to 1050 MHz for better performance.
The output panel on the R7 240 has terminals that can support a variety of different displays. Digital outputs include HDMI and DVI ports, and a VGA output is included to interface with analog displays. The HDMI port will output resolutions of up to cinema 4K (4096 x 2160) to play back high-resolution media without having to downscale.
This card is cooled using a single fan cooler which pulls hot air away from the heatsink. This type of cooler recirculates hot air back into the case and works best in larger cases with unrestricted airflow.
