M.2 interface VS MSATA interface

The M.2 interface is another alternative to the MSATA interface developed by Intel. The read and measure speed of the M.2 interface can reach up to 992 MB / s. The size of the M.2 interface is also different from that of the MSATA interface. The M.2 interface is only 2.75 mm thick and therefore a lot smaller than the MSATA.

Versatile in use

Thanks to the different screw holes, the NVMe M.2 housing can be used for different types of NVMe M.2 drives. It is possible to install the following disks: 22x30, 22x42, 22x60 and 22x80. Check in advance whether your NVMe M.2 disk fits in this Orico NVMe M.2 housing.

The NVMe M.2 hard drive enclosure is therefore NOT compatible with M.2 SATA drives.

Between the images you can find which disks are not compatible with this housing.

Installation:

1: Press and slide the back cover open.

2: Align the slot and insert the hard disk (not supplied).

3: Lock the screw on the back and fix the disk.

4: Place this in the housing and close the back cover.

Easy to connect to your phone / laptop

Connect the NVMe M.2 SSD housing to phones that have a Type-C interface such as the Huawei and the Meizu to easily increase the writing space. A number of smartphones from the Samsung brand also have the Type-C interface. Examples include the Samsung Galaxy S8 series, S9 series, S10 series and the Galaxy Note8 / Note9, the Huawei Mate 10 series, Mate 20 series and P20 series.

Transcend's 2.5” SSD/HDD Enclosure Kit includes a 2.5-inch enclosure with an outer rubber case, an inner rubber shock absorber, a SATA adapter, a USB cable, a 7mm to 9.5mm spacer, a PH1 screwdriver, and three M2 mounting screws.

Shock absorbing rubber for rugged protection Included in the kit is an outer rubber case and an inner rubber shock absorber for optimum protection against shock and vibration.
